HAVE YOU HEARD of the money tree plant? Are you wondering what it is and why so many people are talking about it? This is one plant you don't want to miss out on!
The money tree plant, fancy name Pachira, is a plant that is easily grown indoors (or, in some cases outdoors) that is believed to bring good luck, wealth, prosperity and more to those who dwell or operate in it's presence.
Here’s the story of how to came to be:
There was a farmer who was down on his luck. Barely making money to scrape by. One day, he went out to the fields and found this odd plant. Thinking, and hoping, that it was sent from the Gods, he brought it home and cared for it. He soon begun to sell it's seeds and nuts. He started to make some money. He also grew more of the plants from some of the seeds. He eventually had the money he needed. He believed the money tree was the answer to his prayers. This is how the tree got it's name.
Although this farmer was in Taiwan, the tree caught on like wildfire in China. Now, it has spread everywhere. The money tree plant is something that we all need in our home. Couldn't hurt to have a little extra good luck on your side, could it?
The money tree plant has several trunks woven together to form one, braided trunk. It is stunning. The leaves are long and shiny. Each limb usually has five leaves. If you were to receive or grow a plant that had six or seven leaves on a stem, it would be considered extremely lucky.
Because the plant has five leaves and such a great story behind it, it is often used in Feng Shui. Those that follow Feng Shui believe that the five leaves represent five of the basic elements. These are fire, water, earth, wood and metal. If a room is lacking or missing any of these elements, the presence of the plant balances things out. To follow Feng Shui placement, place the plant in a northwest corner of the room. Inside of a business, place the tree near the cash register or wherever money is being exchanged.
The money tree plant is an object of beauty that is very easily grown. Get one for yourself or as a gift for someone very special. Hopefully, they will experience good luck and wealth. They will also remember that you gave them this very special gift ever time they see it.
